Witness an inspired collision of musical minds as a downtempo classic gets a heavy, dubwise resurrection.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the landmark electronic album In A Space Outta Sound, George Evelyn (aka DJ E.A.S.E / Nightmares on Wax) handed over the original master tapes to legendary dub maestro Adrian Sherwood. The result is a heady, psychedelic version excursion that warps eight classic tracks through the prism of traditional sound system culture.
Rooted deeply in Dub, Trip-Hop, and Downtempo, the project functions as a bold sonic reimagining in the grand lineage of classic dub-redux records like Massive Attack's No Protection. Beyond Sherwood’s trademark mixing-desk wizardry, he brought in key players from the iconic On-U Sound collective to overlay fresh, live instrumentation. From the heavily mutated groove of "Flippin' Eck" (originally "Flip Ya Lid") to the blissed-out echoes of "You Bliss" (a stunning rework of the timeless "You Wish"), this limited-edition rosé pressing is an absolute must-have for electronic and reggae purists alike.
