Nightmares on Wax followed Smokers Delight with Carboot Soul, continuing in similar vein without sacrificing style or quality. Opening with 'Les Nuits', an elegant retread of 'Nights Introlude' from its predecessor, the album is a blissful collection, made for sunny days and lazy afternoons. 'Morse', with its rich bass and woozy vocals, is emblematic of this vibe-led style, while the (relative) uptempo shuffle and guitar twang-meets-sax section of 'Easejimi' shows a range of ideas beyond the pedestrian. 'Argha Noah' is as lazily epic as its title suggests, while 'Capumcap' closes the album with hip-hop swagger.
