Originally released in December 2016, Blue & Lonesome is the 25th British (and 27th American) studio album by rock legends The Rolling Stones. Cut live in the studio over just three days at British Grove Studios in London with producer Don Was and "The Glimmer Twins" (Mick Jagger & Keith Richards), the record represented their first studio release in over a decade and earned them a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.
A vital homage to Electric Blues, Chicago Blues, and Blues Rock, the album sees Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood tearing through blistering interpretations of vintage cuts by their original musical heroes, including Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, Magic Sam, and Jimmy Reed. Reinforced by guest guitar mastery from Eric Clapton on two tracks, Jagger's ferocious harmonica playing and raw vocals take centre stage.
Pressed on 180g Heavyweight Black Vinyl across two LPs and housed in a gatefold sleeve, this pressing offers maximum dynamic warmth and live room grit.
