Released in July 2026 via Los Angeles label Winspear, Mount Zero marks the full-length debut from South Australian four-piece Swapmeet. Following their award-winning 2024 EP Oxalis and accolades at the South Australian Music Awards and SXSW Sydney, the album showcases a band fully coming into their own. Swapmeet’s signature sound, built on rotating instrumentation and collaborative production, channels the lush, guitar-driven intimacy of 90s and early-2000s slowcore and indie rock (drawing comparisons to Mazzy Star, Yo La Tengo, and Snail Mail).
Written around themes of early heartbreaks, first embarrassments, and young-adult transitions, Mount Zero pairs airy melodic sweetness with dense, layered guitars. Key tracks include the propulsive opener "I Know!", the shimmering "Bonny", the atmospheric lead single "Sand", and the emotional highlight "My Heart Breaks II".
