Released on April 22, 1985, Prince’s seventh studio album — and the second credited to Prince and the Revolution — Around The World In A Day found Prince once again breaking new ground. Following Purple Rain, he shifted into psychedelic textures, introduced new instrumentation, and expanded the genres within his music.
This Deluxe 3LP Edition features the newly remastered original album on LP1, plus two extra LPs of B-sides and bonus material. Highlights include extended versions of “Raspberry Beret,” “Paisley Park,” “Pop Life,” and “Girl,” as well as both mixes of “Hello” and two versions of “4 The Tears In Your Eyes.” The set also includes the 22-minute 12” version of “America,” appearing here in its definitive form. Remastering was handled by Bernie Grundman with additional mastering by Chris James.
