Hot Mulligan’s debut album, Pilot, returns to vinyl through its new home at Wax Bodega.
Originally released in 2018, the album captures the Michigan band’s energetic blend of emo, pop-punk and post-hardcore, pairing emotionally direct songwriting with urgent guitars, dynamic vocals and their characteristically unconventional song titles. It includes the enduring fan favourite “How Do You Know It’s Not Armadillo Shells?” alongside tracks such as “Deluxe Capacitor,” “All You Wanted by Michelle Branch” and “The Soundtrack to Missing a Slam Dunk.”
From their beginnings playing house shows in 2014, Hot Mulligan have grown into one of their scene’s most respected and successful bands. Pilot documents the raw early sound and personality that helped establish their devoted following.
