Alone Together brings together two of jazz’s most iconic and introspective voices—trumpeter Chet Baker and pianist Bill Evans—for a beautifully intimate and lyrical collaboration. Although the tracks come from studio sessions originally recorded in the late 1950s, this collection highlights the rare magic that occurs when Baker’s fragile, melodic trumpet lines meet Evans’s harmonically rich, impressionistic piano style.

The music is understated, thoughtful, and deeply expressive. Both musicians favor subtlety over showmanship, creating quiet emotional tension through gentle phrasing, space, and nuance. Their interplay is conversational and intuitive, resulting in performances that feel spontaneous yet perfectly balanced. Standards are reimagined with a cool, reflective tone, making this album a standout example of modern jazz sensitivity.

Track list:

1: Alone Together
2: How High the Moon
3: It Never Entered My Mind
4: 'Tis Autumn
5: If You Could See Me Now
6: September Song
7: You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To
8: Time On My Hands
9: You and the Night and the Music
10: I Could Have Danced All Night
