Step back into the infinite blocks with the sweeping, ambient soundtrack that defined an entire gaming generation.
Following the massive response to Volume Alpha, German electronic composer Daniel Rosenfeld (under his iconic moniker C418) partnered with Ghostly International to bring Minecraft Volume Beta to premium vinyl formats. Originally self-released digitally in 2013, this release compiles the music "silently" added to the game during its expansion updates, alongside legendary tracks that never officially made it into the gameplay.
Musically situated in Ambient, Chiptune, and IDM/Neo-Classical, Volume Beta offers a moodier, more introspective, and slightly more mature tone than its predecessor. Critics frequently draw parallels between Rosenfeld’s brilliant minimalist structures and the iconic works of Brian Eno and Erik Satie. Featuring beloved cornerstones like "Aria Math," "Moog City 2," and the expansive 15-minute journey "The End".
2LP, Red "fire"splatter edition.
