The Mountain is Gorillaz' ninth studio album, a collection of 15 new tracks featuring a stellar list of artists and collaborators. Jamie Hewlett's album artwork captures the four much-loved animated band members - Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D - in a series of beautifully intricate, hand-drawn illustrations.

2LP, pressed to yellow bio-vinyl.

Track list:

  1. The Mountain (Feat. Dennis Hopper, Ajay Prasanna, Anoushka Shankar, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash)

Gorillaz have always thrived on reinvention

Gorillaz have always thrived on reinvention, but The Mountain feels like the first time in years that their experimentation has snapped perfectly back into focus. It’s a concept album steeped in grief, spirituality, and the band’s long‑standing fascination with cultural cross‑pollination—yet it still carries that unmistakable Gorillaz pulse. For me, it’s their most cohesive and compelling record since Demon Days.
