Fontaines D.C. release their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, on October 16, 2026 via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, it follows 2024's Romance, the album that took the Dublin five-piece from critical favorites to one of the biggest bands in the world.

Romance debuted at No. 2 in the UK - since certified platinum there - and delivered the band their first entry on the Billboard 200. It earned two GRAMMY nominations (Best Rock Album, and Best Alternative Music Performance for "Starburster") and won International Group of the Year at the 2025 BRIT Awards, the band's second BRIT win. It also took the Album Award at the 2024 Rolling Stone UK Awards and Ireland's Choice Music Prize, and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.

Announced with lead single "Marianne" and it's accompanying Dave Meyers (Kendrick's "HUMBLE", Travis Scott's "SICKO MODE")-directed video, Dopamine Chamber arrives like a constellation behind undulating sighs of smog: potent balladry, anthemic melodies glinting through the murk. In a world tipping towards collapse, it asks how pleasure mutates amid peril-and what our pursuit of it reveals about us. It's the sound of a band moving decisively away from the guitar language of their early records into something colder, stranger and more synthetic.

Dopamine Chamber takes it's title from the idea of a record as a room the listener steps into. "The album itself is a dopamine chamber, " says Chatten. "You step inside and we test these different mind- or mood-altering pieces of music on you."
