As the first-ever album composed entirely of sampled material, Endtroducing... is a landmark in the history of electronic music. It's influence reverberates through the years, inspiring countless artists and solidifying DJ Shadow's place as a visionary in the realm of sample-based production.

Originally released in 1996, Endtroducing... is widely recognized as a flawless milestone in musical history, famously cited by the Guinness World Records as the first-ever album created entirely from sampled material. Built almost exclusively using an Akai MPC60 sampler, a pair of turntables, and a mountain of obscure vinyl dug out from underground record shops, DJ Shadow (Josh Davis) constructed a sweeping, cinematic masterpiece that redefined electronic soundscapes.

The record is the definitive foundation for Trip-Hop, Instrumental Hip-Hop, Downtempo, and Plunderphonics. Rather than simply looping breaks, Shadow carefully weaves together obscure jazz rock, forgotten soul ballads, spoken-word dialogue, and heavy hip-hop rhythms into a moody, deeply emotional collage. Cut at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios from the original master tape source, this pressing breathes incredible physical space into legendary tracks like the piano-driven "Building Steam With a Grain of Salt," the heavy scratching exhibition of "The Number Song," and the breathtaking, late-night melancholy of "Midnight in a Perfect World".

Heavyweight 180g Audiophile Pressing, Half Speed Master at Abbey Road Studios cut from original master tapes.
