A Forgotten Great...

I like so many who were there to witness the wave that came when this outstanding group hit for the first time with Mr Jones remember how that track just took over every radio station for month after month, seemingly for an eternity! but that also it wasnt just a flash in the pan to boot!!
You played that vinyl discovering a unique sound, Amazing track after amazing track that emotted something out of you with every new original song (im partial to Round Here over Mr Jones myself) Then they disappeared and it was all we were left with...
Then after the longest time your ears pricked up! They had caught that fat riff of Angels of the silenceses and it signalled the most welcome return of the Counting crows and all was right once more!! I really love this album this triumphant return of the number 1 group on the block at the time with tracks like Children in Bloom, Catapult and my favourite the affirmentioned 'Angels of the Silences' yet very unexpectedly and dispite its quality it didnt garner the same Love, Appreciation or half life as A&EA regardless of tunes like Have you seen me lately or Long December. This album for me is one of the best most underated follow up records of any group for all time, May even be a more complete album than its predacessor but will forever be relagated to the if you know you know club. Great album!! Should have got more love and time in the light...
