Bicep - Isles - Vinyl LP Record

Belfast-born, London-based Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson - Bicep - are renowned for harnessing their vast musical knowledge and impeccable production skills to create timeless classics and deliver a stellar live experience.

Growing up in Northern Ireland, Matt & Andy sought out the various counter cultures that arose in response to the overarching conservative atmosphere. The underground music scene felt like a place of mutual solace for many people and although Northern Ireland always felt very divided, the fact that music has no ‘flag’ meant it brought people together and this sense of community remains strong for them.

On Isles, they explore the emotional impact that different musical influences discovered while growing up in Belfast and over the past ten years of living in a cultural melting pot like London has had on their productions. On the subject of Isles, Bicep state "We have strong mixed emotions connected to growing up on one, wanting to leave, wanting to return. Expansive yet introspective.”
