Originally released in Europe in 2001 with digital/electronic production, In Search Of... is the groundbreaking debut album by N.E.R.D. (No One Ever Really Dies), comprising legendary production duo The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) alongside childhood friend Shay Haley. Unhappy with how the initial electronic version translated, the group made the radical decision to scrap the original instrumentals and re-record the entire album with live funk-rock band Spymob before its worldwide 2002 release.
Released as part of Universal's Respect the Classics / Back To Black series, this audiophile edition is pressed across two 180g Opaque White Coloured LPs and includes the original electronic version of "Run To The Sun" as a rare bonus track.
