Get ready, Australia! The 2024 ARIA Awards, in partnership with YouTube, are about to take over with a night full of celebration, music, and iconic performances. This year’s awards will showcase the best of our homegrown talent, recognizing their incredible achievements in the music scene over the past year. With a mix of Australia’s biggest global stars and some seriously exciting up-and-coming artists, the ARIA Awards promise to be an unforgettable event.
When and Where?
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 20, as the winners will be crowned live from the iconic Hordern Pavilion on Gadigal land. The awards will span across 29 categories, with highlights including the 2024 ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, none other than the legendary Missy Higgins.
Fans can tune in from 5:00 pm AEDT to watch the event live on Stan, with a special presentation airing later on Channel 9. And for those who can’t get enough, performances and key moments will be available on the @ARIA.official YouTube channel. Plus, the Red Carpet kicks off earlier in the day at 1:30 pm AEDT on YouTube, where you can catch all the glitz and glam of the night.
Leading the Nominations: Royel Otis
Sydney’s guitar-pop duo Royel Otis are the talk of the town, leading the pack with a whopping eight nominations. After a massive year, including over 300 million streams and being named one of the GRAMMYs’ 25 artists to watch, Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic’s album PRATTS & PAIN has secured nominations in major categories like Album of the Year, Best Group, and Song of the Year. The duo’s infectious sound and global buzz have crowned them 2024’s most-nominated artists.
Dom Dolla’s Big Year
Dom Dolla has been riding high with his latest global hit single Saving Up, and the ARIA Awards have taken notice, giving him six nominations. With nods for Best Solo Artist, Best Dance/Electronic Release, and Song of the Year, Dom Dolla’s meteoric rise continues, solidifying his place as a key figure in Australia’s electronic scene.
Kylie Minogue and Angie McMahon Shine
Australia’s beloved pop queen, Kylie Minogue, continues to dominate, landing five nominations for her latest album Tension. Following the global success of her hit Padam Padam, Kylie is up for Album of the Year, Best Solo Artist, and more, reminding us why she’s still a force in the industry.
Also scoring five nominations is Angie McMahon, whose album Light, Dark, Light Again has earned her spots in categories like Album of the Year and Best Rock Album. The Melbourne-born artist has been making waves internationally, and the ARIA nods reflect her growing influence.
