Fink - Hard Believer - Vinyl LP Record

Impressed is no stranger to Fink already, we've made no secret about it. We pressed his last record Beauty In Your Wake locally, and we're so excited to help bring him out to Australia in 2024 on his forthcoming tour - for the first time since 2011. 

So we couldn't pass up the chance to deliver an exclusive pressing of arguably his biggest album - Hard Believer, with thanks to Ninja Tune.

Hard Believer was released 10 years ago in 2014.

Including the tracks Looking Too Closely and Shakespeare, Hard Believer was
recorded in seventeen days at Hollywood’s legendary Sound Factory studios with producer Billy Bush (Garbage, Beck), and is shot through with rawness and controlled aggression; an album replete with calm beginnings seguing into powerfully hypnotic loops and climactic finales. It is a masterful collection of songs from an artist at the peak of his creative powers.

Urban, bluesy, and alive, the album presents ten songs, including the mighty “Shakespeare”, a tale of young love gone tragically sour as the mood darkens from acoustic to guttural rock; the spiky yet delicate “Looking Too Closely”, riding an irresistible piano-and-guitar groove; “Green And The Blue”, on which a vulnerable Greenall meditates on the constants in life that see you through tough times; “Two Days Later”, a deeply personal lament and one of only two songs on the record that start and remain down-tempo; and the breathtaking “Pilgrim”.

This re-issue is exclusive to Impressed in Australia, a 3LP set pressed on 140g Metallic Sand vinyl, housed in gatefold 350gsm sleeve with expanded booklet featuring archival photos & “making of” extract. Includes Denmark Street, Electric Monkey Sessions & live versions available on vinyl for the first time ever. 

Impressed will be adding individually-numbered signature obi strip to the 200 copies.
